We are a team of education, wellbeing and mental health practitioners working within Camden, with the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust as our base. Together we all have extensive experience of working within schools and supporting the emotional wellbeing of the educational workforce, and children, parents/carers and families.
Who is this for and how can I use it?
The Education in Mind website is relevant to anyone who works in schools or wider places of education in Camden.
Whilst we can offer specific support for certain areas of the system, what you see on this website is directed at every staff member. We believe that everybody matters. All of our staff, regardless of job title or professional background, are critical to ensuring that schools continue to function as we respond to COVID-19 and take the first steps toward recovery. This is a resource that aims to reach and have relevance across the whole education workforce.
We have set up a two-way platform with you to ensure that we keep in touch and offer what’s most useful to you. Our team of education, wellbeing and mental health practitioners at the Tavistock and Portman will also be reviewing the resources and sharing good practice.
So we invite you to visit this page every couple of days to see any new information and resources that are coming through and let us know what you are feeling and what would help you.
The work of Education in Mind is based on the following principles:
- Everybody matters
- Open access to supportive resources
- Planning will be based on best available evidence for what will make a difference
- Everybody can play a part – individuals; teams; organisations; systems
- Support will stay in place for as long as needed
