Welcome to Education In Mind’s resources page created to support anyone working within or supporting educational settings, during this challenging time. My name is Neelam Solanki and I am an Assistant Psychologist at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, and I want to give you a brief overview about how you can make the most of the resources on this website.

Firstly, we want to thank you for completing the ‘Weekly Check-in’. The information we get from this enables us to tailor the resources we include on the website to meet your needs as effectively as possible, so please do keep coming back to complete the survey and tell us how things are going.

We are very aware that the transition and return to school may seem quite daunting, but also that there is already such an overwhelmingly high amount of health and wellbeing-related resources in circulation, in regard to COVID-19. We want to avoid adding to this problem and to ensure this, we have a team of education and mental health professionals regularly reviewing and curating the resources you see on the website who are mindful of including information from reputable sources and avoiding duplication. As well as this, we thought it would be useful to include resources which are more specific to working in schools and managing this transition; whatever your role may be – cleaning and catering staff, site management, teachers, classroom assistants et cetera. On the bottom of the home page you can find the newest resources, so this is an easy way to check and see what’s recently been added.

Now, on to some practical guidance on how to navigate what is on the resources webpage. You can filter the resources by Topic; Audiences; and Formats to find resources to suit your particular need – or you can use the Search function if you want to find something more specific. Topics covered include but are not limited to; anxiety and worry, transition planning, bereavement, low mood, and also practical guidance on this phased return.

We invite you to visit the website weekly or as little or often as you need to see any new information and resources that are coming through and let us know how we can best support you right now. Do also let us know if there are resources that you would like to suggest to be included – this is very much a collaborative project.

If you have any questions or suggestions you can get in touch with us via the Contact Us webpage.

Thank you for listening.

We’ve curated these resources in response to what we are hearing from you, and will continue to add more as the situation and your needs change over time.

You can filter by Topic; Audiences; Formats – or use the Search function if you want to find something more specific.

Can’t find what you want? Get in touch via the Contact us page.
